Natural vs. Conventional

  • Table Wine 2045 Atwood Avenue Madison, WI, 53704 United States (map)

Natural wines are made with lots of love & attention and (basically) zero anything else. As in, no additives, flavorings, or things that make your wine taste a little too much like dark chocolate & purple fruit. Natural winemakers believe that wine is at its best when you can taste the grapes and where they're grown. Conventional wines are often made in modern, pristine wineries that use techniques to produce wines that please the palate. Conventional winemakers might employ a technique to make up for a flaw in the grapes or in the wine, and those wines might be the very ones you love the most. Learn how wine is made using old-school and new-school techniques and see which wines make you happiest.

Join us online for this free virtual tasting. We will feature 4 wines in this class. Register here.

If you're interested in tasting the wines during class, we will have the wines available for online ordering. Wines will be ready for ordering starting Friday, June 19. Details about the wines and what to substitute if you’re not able to come to Table Wine will also be available then.
