Learn About Wine

We’re here to open the door to the exciting world of wine, not to make you feel intimidated. There’s a lifetime of learning when it comes to wine, so join us for a class to keep the adventure going.

We offer classes at three different levels described below. All classes are held in person in the Txoko, our communal seating area. We take a casual but well informed approach to teaching. Class size is limited. Advance tickets only. If you see that a class is sold out, email us to be added to the waitlist, or you can schedule a private tasting to cover the same topic.

Get to Know

Often about a particular grape or wine region, these classes offer strong fundamental information. Consider them the shallow end of the learning pool. This level is ideal for all wine drinkers with a special eye on the novice.

Here we get a little geeky about a wide variety of topics. Sometimes, we’ll narrow in on a wine region. Others, we’ll tackle wine characteristics like minerality or tannins. In our learning pool, you can still stand, but you’re moving into deeper waters. This level is ideal for any wine drinker who wants to get a bit more serious about wine.

Deep Dive

In these classes, we zero in on a very specific topic to really expand our learning and our palates. New in 2025, we’re excited to offer these classes occasionally as interest dictates. As the name suggests, you’re in the deep end of the learning pool. We encourage only serious wine people to join us for these classes because we’ll be talking history, chemistry, geography, and more.
